The first two ScanRobots®
of the Bavarian
State Library have been put into operation
in October 2007. By now there are
3 ScanRobots®,
which are
operated in shift operation,
in use.
The Munich Digitisation Centre is currently
digitising mainly books from the 16th
century with their automatic book scanners.
The Bavarian State Library is also development partner
of Treventus and the scan- and page turning process
was improved and optimized in close collaboration
with the Institute of Book and Manuscript Conservation (IBR)
and the Munich Digitisation Centre (MDZ) of the
Bavarian State Library.
