-
Book Handling with Care
-
Due to their conditions, documents often require gentle handling. Therefore we use a scan technology that enables us to digitize your documents with the greatest possible care. Well-known libraries such as the Bavarian State Library use the ScanRobot®. We can satisfy highest requirements of careful book handling and digitize books dating back to at least the 14th century (and even older documents).
-
Data Carrier
-
As a standard, for data volume of 20GB or bigger we automatically store the data of the scanned images on hard disks.
-
DPI

We scan with 300 dpi. This is sufficient for OCR as well as reproductions and reprints. Scans with this resolution can also be converted into faksimile.

Current formats for eBook readers are EPUB and DjVu. You can choose the output format DjVu for the compatibility of eBook reader. We also offer the conversion into the EPUB format.
-
Own Hard Disk / USB Stick

We store the digital images to data carriers provided by us. Due to greater complexity in the course of the work flow, we unfortunately can not use hard disks or USB sticks provided by customers in order to store the images.
-
Faksimile
-
Faksimiles are exact copies and reproductions of all kinds of documents.
-
Multiple TIFF / PDF
-
Several individual PDF pages / TIFF images are merged into one single document.
-
OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

The OCR software recognizes the text characters of scanned images from documents and therefore makes digital documents searchable.
-
Price
-
We would be pleased to send you an individual offer tailored to your needs. The price depends on many factors such as number of books and pages, condition and format of books and the requirements of your digitization project.
Furthermore the price also depends on the device being used for the digitization of your documents. Thus please try to answer as many questions in our enquiry form as possible.
In general it can be said: the more documents are involved in a digitization project, the smaller the price per scanned image.
